Sketches. Transparency - We all seek it, yet so many of us never truly are. With transparency comes vulnerability. As an artist, my mind is often filled with more thoughts, images and words than I can efficiently render. I am blessed and I suppose, burdened with creativity. Here, I seek to share my creative process. To give you, the viewer, insight on how one artist creates from inception to the final stages. In this way, you become part of the process. Through my vulnerability, I also share what it is to be human, flawed and imperfect. Sketching is so imperfect and raw. From time to time, I will upload new sketches. Sketching can happen at any time, anywhere. Sometimes, I am awoken in the middle of the night to sketch, for in the morning, I will forget. I sleep with a notebook and pencils next to my head. So many notebooks. So many pencils. Most sketches happen within a 5-10 minute time period. It's gestural, in hopes that one day, I will get back to it and properly give the image the time it deserves. My works in progress, are just that. I work on multiple projects at once.
